The ONYX 45 is a military-grade powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) blower developed by Impertech for the Israeli Ministry of Defense. It delivers 45 liters of filtered air per minute directly into any compatible gas mask or NBC hood, creating a positive-pressure environment that blocks chemical and biological agents from entering the mask.
Sold as a standalone unit, the ONYX 45 is the ideal upgrade for anyone who already owns a compatible gas mask or respirator hood and wants to add powered airflow for easier, more comfortable breathing during extended use.
Particularly well suited for elderly users and anyone with reduced lung capacity, as the powered airflow removes the effort of breathing through a dense NBC filter unaided.
Important: This unit does not include a filter. Without a properly rated 40mm NATO NBC filter attached, this blower provides no respiratory protection. A compatible filter must be used for CBRN protection. All filters sold on CBRNmasks.com are compatible, as are any standard 40mm NATO-threaded filters (EN 148-1 / Rd40 / STANAG 4155).
The ONYX 45 accepts any standard 40mm NATO threaded filter (EN 148-1 / Rd40 / STANAG 4155). This includes all NBC and CBRN filters sold on CBRNmasks.com, as well as compatible filters from other brands. Filters are available separately in our store in single, 2-pack, 3-pack, and 4-pack options.
