We keep it partly assembled so we would not have to start from zero under stress. Very parent-friendly design.
We made the first practice a game because I did not want my daughter to associate the hood with fear. She could see me through the front, I could watch her expression, and she started laughing about looking like an astronaut. That reaction made the whole experience much easier than I had expected.
We practiced putting it on while cartoons were playing. By the second try she knew to sit still and let me lower the hood over her head, which made the process easier.
The hood worked well when we practiced with it. My main surprise was the size: it takes more storage space than I had pictured from the product photos.
The clear front is excellent. We can see her expression and she can see us.
Bought this for our youngest after getting masks for the older kids. The hood is clearly the better format for her age.

Factory seal intact, canister clean, no marks. Exactly what I wanted for storage.
The mask seems well made, but I am still struggling to get the rear straps comfortable around the back of my head. I am keeping it, although the fit has not fully convinced me yet.
